In "Annie Hall," released in 1977, Diane Keaton is late meeting Woody Allen at the movie theatre and while he's waiting for her, he's surrounded by thug types. When she finally arrives he berates her for leaving him alone "with the cast of The Godfather." Of course Diane Keaton is part of the cast of "The Godfather," released in 1972.
