Evil Dead Easter Egg - Nod to Wes 2 (the Hills Have Eyes Poster)

The Hills have eyes poster is not a 'nod' to Craven. It was actually an insult.

If you notice, the poster is ripped in half.

In the movie The Hills Have eyes, there is a Jaw's poster ripped in half. Sam Reimi, thought that it was Wes's way of saying that Jaws was only pop horror and his movie was the real thing.

So Sam put the ripped Hills poster in the basement to say "No Wes, your stuff was just Pop horror, THIS is the real thing"

You must note that Sam did this in good fun. Not in a hatred for Wes.
