Starship Troopers Easter Egg - Mister Radzjek

The name Mr. Radzjek (played by Micheal Ironside) has to be a joke of the dutch director because "rotzak" in Dutch (pronounced "Radzjek") means bastard!

Rasczak is the character's name from the original Robert A. Heinlein science fiction novel, no which the movie is (loosely) based. I doubt the claimed allusion for his name, as a result.

I must agree that the Major's was a direct quote from the book and not the reference that is shown above. :)

His name was razchak (or spelled close to that) in all 3, razchak was NOT the main commander in the book (he died early) but he WAS in it. and also, the show was based on the movie, which is almost NOTHING like the book, But there is a conncection, there are no "skinnies" in the movie, but they are in the book and the show.

Okay, to help set things straight; from the book: 1- Mr. Dubois was his History and Moral Philosophy Teacher before he joins up. And he mails Rico while in boot camp and Zim see it and asks about how he's doing (Dubois). 2- Rico is assigned to Lt. Rasczak's squad after his first unit - Willy's Wildcats- is decimated. The movie streched the books plot, though the series was closer to it.

(the only reason I know this is because it used to be on at 6:30 and I watched it before I got on the bus, then we moved to high school time and I think it got canceled)
