Hitchcock appeared somewhere in virtually every film he made. It was a trademark of his. If you want a challenge, figure out where he appeared in "Lifeboat" (Or you can just look it up...

You're right this is his signature, the guy was a genius and had a ball at doing what he loved the most, Film Making. He pictured himself in almost every one of his features but there are one or two of them (Early Ones)that he did not reveal himself in... Don't ask which ones I am not certain...

In Lifeboat, Hitchcock does not really appear. His picture is on the newspaper that one of the passengers is reading. Also, these are not really eggs, they are directors trademarks. :) J.

Actually, she did not meet her fate later that night, it was the next night because she spends that night on the side of the road in her car and the cop comes the next morning.

Au contraire--Hitch doesn't appear nearly as often as some of you say. Of his fifty-four films, he only made cameos in thirty-nine of them.

I always thought that Hitchcock's cameo was (outside the same window) was walking left to right with a coat over his shoulder.
