Cast - Lyrical Naming
John Power, lead of the band Cast, was formerly in the La's. Not interesting in itself until we find that the last line of the last song on the La's only album was "the change is cast". And for John it certainly was.

The last word in the "La's" song "Looking glass" is cast but this has nothing to do with "John Powers'" band being called "Cast" as John Power has verified in several interviews that there is absolutely no connection.

The song you are talking about is, I believe, called "Looking Glass". The last line is "The stone is cast, the glass is smashed". Obviously the word cast is used but not as a reference to John Powers future career.
