There is a scene when Richard Gere asking directions from a homeless looking through garbage. The homeless is the director of the movie - Garry Marshall.

Garry Marshall appears in a laot of his films. He also cast various family members in roles too. Take a look at the kid on the skateboard (son) and one of the desk clerks (niece?) both are somehow related to Marshall. Also Lynda Goodfriend (LoriBeth of Happy Days) plays the tourist photographing the bady.

The part when Richard Gere gives Julia Robert's the ring - and clips the box on her finger as she goes to take it, was not scripted. Her reaction was totally natural -not an egg but cute anyhow !!

This is not really an easter egg, any fan of Gary Marshall will recognize his voice, and he mentions it in the director's commentary. He also does a voice cameo in Exit to Eden, when Nina (Iman) is threatening a dominatrix for tickets to the island resort you can hear him from the other side of a folding screen saying "Mistress Pricilla, I'm ready to be punished."
