Aladdin (Disney) Easter Egg - bad little monkey

If you go to the part where abu has taken the has touched the forbidden treasure and he is standing on the stones which are exploding in
the lava...listen very carefully, and as they are exploding on either side, he says "oh, sh*t!"

Disney isn't the all cuddly family you think it is..... Though I don't know if this egg is correct, they probably would do something like this.....

He says it... TWICE! I was showing my friend this, and faintly heard it. I thought to myself "Last time he said it louder". 5 seconds afterwards, he said it very clearly. My friends cracked up. Regardless to what Snopes or anyone else says, Disney has and I think always will hide things that may not be appropriate for childern in their movies. Look at the Rescuers! There is a poster of a topless woman in the background!

As if anyone could spot the naked woman in the rescuers unless they were REALLY looking for it w/ a frame by frame thing.

I listened to that many times and it is not Abu saying "Oh Sh*t". What you are actually listening to is the sound of pressure building under the rocks that are about to explode. The "Oh" part is coming from Abu saying "UH OH" and the what you think is the word sh*t is actually "PPFFSSSTTT". That is the sound that pressure makes when it is escaping. Prime example a Pressure Cooker makes a very similiar sound. Keep your minds out of the gutter. Disney isn't all rosey but they aren't that dirty either.

Charlie is right and wrong. I beleive that Abu does say "Oh sh*t" because I want to beleive it, but Charlie did hit on something. He mentioned a pressure cooker, and when I saw a behind the scenes thingy for Aladdin, the sounds for the lava was a pot of spaghetti sauce, and a pressure cooker. :)

The question isn't whether it's pressure in the rocks or the monkey saying "cheek" because it's animated and the sounds are separate from the animated events. It sounds like "Oh sh*t" and for all intensive purposes that's what it is.

I've seen Aladdin many times, and I've never heard this. But for a character like Abu, where the dialogue is far from clear, it's easy to hear him swearing if that's what you want to hear. Listen to Donald Duck and see how many times you think he swears. Both character's voices are far from clear.

The whole thing reminds me of the "Louie Louie" fiasco. The song "Louie Louie" has lyrics which are basically unintelligible, but a lot of kids listening to the song swore that they heard all kinds of bawdy things happening which, according to the lyric sheet, just weren't there. It all proves that people can hear what they want to.

I remember when I first saw the movie. I told my mom I thought he said a bad word, and she didn't believe me. Now I know others believe it too.

I think Abu did say "Oh Sh*t". Charlie had a good thought about the pressure cooker, but you can't even here the "uh" in "uh oh". Just think of all the other eggs that are in disney movies they are mostly reffering to sex or saying a cuss word.

I really dont think that Abu said "Oh Sh**". I think that almost all of these kinds of things that people find in the Disney movies are just becuase they have a nasty imagination. Maybe Disney put in a couple of things in the movies, like the poster of the woman, but other than that I think it's just the way that people look at it. I have listened to when people think Aladdin says "Take of your clothes" or when Abu "says" sh**, or even in the Lion King when it seems that the monkey says "squashed bananas up your arse" but I think you'd need a big and nasty imagination to pull those words from what they say.

Well, you heard wrong. I've gone back to the tape and watched the scene over and over and there is nothing to this. Abu is merely making squeaking and "oh" sounds. What you think is the word sh*t is the sound of steam escaping from the rock. It sounds nothing like Abu's voice and it dosen't even have a T sound at the end. It's just a "shhhhhh" sound. So what you are hearing is Abu going "oh" and then the rocks going "shhhhhh". It takes a real stretch to turn those two seperate sounds into sh*t. This is a fake. End of story.

A mystery is far more appealing than any sort of factual truth after the matter - which is why this sort of thing will keep happening. I doubt he said it (considering that was a point in the movie most people would be paying very good attention and would be expecting a mild expletive from the lil monkey, in the form of "uh-oh"), but people will hear what they want to hear.

First off, for a movie company notorious for placing innapropriate material in many of their movies, it suprises me that some people actually defend them by stating as a FACT that Disney wouldnt put these kind of messages into a 'childrens movie'. Added to that the fact that Disney doesnt realize that these disgruntled animators and sound FX people put TONS of hidden eggs into not just movies but games, books, cartoons and so on. I believe that Abu DOES say 'Oh Sh*t', Hell, I would too if I had a cave collapsing on top of me :)
