Simpsons, The - A-113
Watch whenever someone is wearing a prison uniform. Most of the time (but not all), the number on it will be 'A-113'; Brad Bird's signature. Look for it also in Toy Story....

In the episode where Springfield is divided up into two area-codes, we find out that the Simpsons phone number is 0113. A is the first letter in the alphabet and 0 is the first number in the numerical system, so the A was replaced with the 0, my guess anyway. Also in the same episode, corresponding with the post above, when Homer looks in the phone book for the animal control, if you pause and view the page Homer is looking at, there is an ad for Experimental Animations Dept.

On the DVD of Season One, Brad Bird speaks on this subject on the Audio Commentary. He says that A-113 was the number of his university room, and he tries to sneak it into everything he works on.

In Season 1, the episode numbers start of as 7G which might of been the reason why the sector Homer works in is called 7G.

A113 was the number of John Lasseter's college dorm room.(He worked on A Bugs Life and Toy Story which A113 is also used.)I don't know how it has to do with The Simpsons but i have reconized A113 in many movies.

If you look in the Lilo and Stitch Eggs, they mention something about using A-113 in there too.

Also, watch the episode when Springfield Elementary gets turned into a prison. At the very end when Snake asks Bart to break him out, you can look at his prisoner number: 7F-- I could only remember the 7F, but it is the 4-digit episode number of the episode.

A 113 was actually a classroom (close to the experimental animation department) where Ray Aragon was giving life-drawing lessons to character animation students like Tim Burton, Brad Bird, Ralph Eggleston, Ton Bankroft, and ... me. I put a whole bunch of A 113 in saturday-morning cartoons too.
