not exactly related, but i understand that when Ned Beaty recieved his script for this movie where were a few pages missing. When Ned questioned this he was apperantly brushed off and told not to worry about that part that they would walk him through those scene's.

Yep, that's old Jimmy (love his accent in the river scene... :) Another cute thing: in the ending scene (cut from the final release), Burt and Jon were shown an unknown body in a bag, and the body was "played" by Chris Dickey, James's son. Deliverance is my all-time top, along with "Manhunter"... I can watch it and read it 10 times a day... :) One of the few cases where the movie is not only as good as the book it was based on, but sometimes actually gets better!

This doesn't really have anything to do with this egg, but I had to read Deliverance for my English class, and we watched this movie. It followed very closely with the book, but it was VERY disturbing!

Deliverance was shot in chronological order so if one of the actors broke an arm or a leg it would just be written into the script... Also, Burt Reynolds wasnt the first or second choice for the lead.. Robert Redford and if remember correctly, Martin Sheen were first and second choice but both turned it down.
