X-Men Easter Egg - Officer Singer

Director Bryan Singer revealed in an interview with IGN that his face is mapped onto the body of one of the police officers in the confrontation scene between the fuzz and Magneto & Co. They also made an police action figure with Bryan Singer's face on it.

The scene with the police was shot with the normal actors, but after the movie was done filming a post-production crew with some computer graphics tools digitally inserted ("Mapped") an image of a different face on top of the filmed face of the officer.

Are you certain he was in the film? I remember reading in the interview that they stuck his face on the policeman action figure, but I thought that was it.

They take a digital picture of a face, then they take a scene from the movie, and using a computer they add the face onto the filmed face.
