Here's a better one, try clicking the little picture of the printer on your browser, now watch in amazement as the contents of this page grace the paper emerging from your printer! Note: This can be repeated, set a whole day aside and sit down at your computer with a box of ink cartridges and about 12 reams of paper. It's like magic, they multiply!

I have a Deskjet 932C When I do this I get an alternate test page, it gives the "Anything is Possible" line along with a colorful flower. This is NOT the normal test page for the printer which prints a photo quality picture of a girl.

Actually, this "egg" is a test page pattern that works on ALL HP PRINTERS! At least, in one form or another. Prior to the 900 series printers most of the test pages are done by holding down the power button and pressing the paper feed button FOUR times then release power. In most cases its just a set of lines to show that the jets all function. Which is really all you need. :) As for the comment by Lovecraft, that girl in the hat is NOT a test page stored in the printer. That picture would take ten times the memory the printer even HAS! Its a picture printed out by the installation program. If you look hard enough through all the installation files you'll find the image, but you'll have to change the extension to view it.

I have a hp deskjet 845c & it does the same thing as the 840c. I'm pretty sure it's the default test page & its not an egg.

This is not an egg. It's a test page that's built into the printer - It even tells you that in the manual (well it does for the 990CXi, 815c and the 600)

That's not the test page. The test page has a butterfly on it! It's not funny, but it is a cool little egg!
