Aliens - Indication of a Sequel Being Planned
Watch the credits at the end of the movie. The theme music will play until the very end of the credits. You will hear ominous windy sounds for a little bit. Turn up the volume! At the last piece of text you will hear a squishy, slimy noise like that of an alien egg opening. This actually signifies the beginning of Alien 3 years before that movie was realized!!!!

I saw James Cameron at a pre-release promotion for T2 back in 1991, someone asked him about that sound. He said he put it in just to do something different. It's actually the sound of a facehugger skittering by. He himself didn't have any plans for a sequel.

No, James Cameron didn't write an Alien 3 script... Gibson and Twohy (and some other guy too) wrote specs for it, but Giler & Hall didn't like any of them. In the end, they took the other guys script (the one I can't remember) and modified his script from a bunch of monks to a bunch of convicts. Strange but true

Actually, James Cameron DID write a script for a third movie. It was supposed to take place on earth, just like the trailers of Alien 3 indicated, but Fox cancelled it because they felt that production costs would be too high. They went for a cheaper script, and in my opinion, we got a cheaper movie.

The thing you read about, onspeed was probably about the film Snow White, a darker version of the fairy tale starring Sigourney Weaver as Snow White. The film had absolutely nothing to with Aliens whatsoever, I don't know where you got that from.

I read somewhere that a proposed script was based on snow white and the seven dwarves with Ripley being a snow white and the characters all having parallel dwarf characteristics. Strange but true.

I agree that isn't much of an egg, especially since Cameron wasn't even involved in the sequel.
