This is true, it just takes a little work to make the camera go all the way over to the left. You may have to maneuver it up or down a little to get it to work.

Everybody problably knows this but no one wrote it so I will. In the room where the Cait Sith doll is, the two people are the parents of the person who controls the Cait Sith in your party. In the other room, the Shinra President is doing a wacky "play" with a few workers.

Also, you can name Red XIII Nanaki. Cloud: Who's Nanaki? You mean Nanaki? or something like that when you get to Nanaki's hometown

This is totally irrelevant, but...I naturally had Barrett as 'Mr.T' (What else would you call him??;). And at one point Aeris (I think) calls him 'Mr Barrett', which turns to 'Mr Mr.T'. :)

I never thought about calling him Mr. T I always named him Shaft

I named them all after members of the Raven - it's in these British fantasy stories. My kid brother always calls Cloud Zorro.

Have a trainer for the PC version, so right after the Cosmo Canyon & Keystone theft sequences, I name Red Nanaki and Cait Sith Reeve; I don't see why they would call them their old fake name. Also, in FF3/6, I named Gau "ImGay" my second time through. He's always shouting his name, so he spent most of that game coming out of the closet [=)

I named Cloud "Zach," and it humored up the midgame a little. For example, in the rain forest near the broken Mako reactor, Aeris meets the real Zach's parents, and Cloud asks her who Zach is, and he says something like this: Zach? Who's Zach?

And another thing, how'd the comments get from talking about Cait Sith to talking about names for characters?

In Final Fantasy 2 for SNES I named Tellah bater because every now and then he is referred to as 'Master' Tellah. So they would call him MasterBater. It was awesome. Being 12 years old ruled!

Speaking of Zach, is there a way to find him? I thought at first he was that guy in the drain pipe in the slums near Aeris's house...But one of my friends disagreed with me...Can anyone help?? FitzChivalry

There is no way to find Zack. He's not in there. Gone. Kaput. One thing I found extremely humorous was to name Cloud "God". One of the best examples from that is in the beginning of the game, in the elevator of the first mako reactor: Barret: "The planet's dyin', God!" God: "I don't care. I just want my money."

No you cant get Zach. And Zach isn't the dude in the pipe. Zach is dead...It shows so in the movie in the Shinra Mansion basement...you have to go there on disk 4 or after you beat Ruby Weapon or something. It shows how Cloud got his sword and his snazzy clothes!

If you go all he way through the game I think you have to go to the underground library in the shinra mansion in Clouds home town you see a movie of you and zack captured after fighting sephroth (the first time when cloud saves tiffa) you both escpae but as you reach midgar the shinra troops attack and kill him, so it can't be but otherwise (maybe the energy he was soaked in - minds gone blank - saved him ) thats an answer I belived till I saw the movie

Zach IS NOT the guy in the slums. You can only see him in several flashbacks that Cloud has, like the one in Mideel. There is also an optional flashback that you can view by returning to the basement of the Shrina Mansion in Nebilheim after the flashback in Mideel. That flashback explains how Cloud got to Midgar and why he decided to become a Mercenary.

Heh heh...if you really wanna be confused, name everyone in the game "Sephiroth." It's already the most often said name in the game, and it's pretty funny when seven or eight sephiroths are talking about themselves.

I called Barrett Barracus (Mr. T's name from The A Team). It fits his character...

the guy in the pipe was part of the original plot, where you would return to the slums and he would help you revive aeris and have the happy ending with cloud and aeris...unfortunately square ran out of time and it would be too complicated to do so they abandoned it in favour of the plot we all know and love..

BTW- It kinda makes you wonder about what Cait Sith said after the date with . He mentioned about his true self, Reeve being stationed in the Shinra head office. The mystery deepens when you arrive back at Midgar on disc two. You can revisit the Shinra building, but whether or not you got the key card for the top floor, you cannot reach it. Quite Perplexing. Oh, and try naming your main characters after American Presidents- You'll be supprised by the results!!! -Ganon

Not to be a moderator, but this is not a topic to talk about naming your characters things. Zack is the man in the pipe. Because of the reunion, Zack's mind was messd up. Because of the Jenova cells he was able to take so much damage. Like Sephiroth. Zack was not a failed one like Cloud if I remember correctly so Cloud wasn't tolerrant as Zack. As for the egg, I think it is not an egg. O, name Cloud God and name Barret Jesus. Hahahahaha.

I looove being able to rename players in games! I have: Cloud = Cloud (my gf started the game) Barret = Mr Shooty Tifa = A Floozy (for the comedy moments like "did you see a floozy?", "I must find a floozy Fast!") Aeris = The Hulk Red = Tiddles CatSith = Bunny Hump (watch the animation right after you name him *giggles*) Vincent = TofuTom (not very good) Cid = Capt Planet Yuffie = Green Dog Wish more games would let you name characters!
