Sims, The - Hidden Skins
1. Put disk in drive
2. Open My Computer
3. Open the disk drive folder(skip auto play)
4. Open the "patches" folder (with out quotations)
5. Open the "res" folder (with out quotations)
6. There should be 6 picture files. They are skins and faces. I think these are portaits of Maxis people.(Maxis is the company that makes the Sims)
7. copy (don't drag) them into C:/ProgramFiles/Maxis/TheSims/GameData/Skins or to where ever the skins are.
Special Requirements:
The Sims or Livin' Large (expansion pack) disk

Jess, I think you're trying to look at The regular Sims...This egg is for the expansion pack ONLY! =) Hope that helped with your frustration.

Mr. Been To stop your cd-rom from auto-playing when you insert it hold the shift key down as you insert the cd - don't let up on the key until your PC stops trying to read the cd (3 or 4 seconds.) This is for Windows systems. If you have a Mac I don't have a clue. Good Luck!

I don't have a 'patch' folder either...I don't have a Mac or anything. I just can't find that folder - it doesn't exist. If someone finds it...please tell me where it is cuz it's not where u other ppl said it was!

If your trying to open the Sims CD through My Computer, but the auto-play thing keeps coming up, then right click on the icon in My Computer and click on open on the menu that appears.

Ah yeah thanks that did help. At the top it says you need either The Sims OR Livin' large...that's y i was getting confused.

I found this egg, though, i wasnt allowed through the process of adding it,Any ways if you have the sims character studio do the following... 1. In the head mesh box select cm018long this is second from the bottom 2. In the body type field select "full" 3. The Clothing should automatically change. This sim now look like Steve Irwin, otherwise known as the Crocodile hunter, y'know the idiot who gives us Australians a bad name. Ive tried saving this model, but the program tells me its not a valid body texture.
