Dragnet Easter Egg - Jack Webb

In the scene where Tom Hanks' character is in the captain's office after Joe Friday (Dan Aykroyd) had to turn in his badge, there is a picture behind the captain (Harry Morgan) of a younger Harry Morgan and his co-star in the television series Dragnet, Jack Webb, who played Joe Friday in the series.

Well, if you remember, Dan Akroyd isn't THE Joe Friday. He's Joe's nephew. He even says that at the beginning of the film. His uncle is his hero. Of course there's a picture of Jack Webb in there. It's not an egg. It's part of the plot.

Sorry. My dad told me to put that egg in. He thought it was neat, but is totally illiterate when it comes to internet stuff. He says it wasn't that memorable of a movie for him to remember all that stuff.

Did you also take notice that as the captain(played by Harry Morgan) and his wife are in bed watching TV that the TV show Dragnet is on, a show on which also Harry Morgan starred?
