Deus Ex Easter Egg - Guest Book Entries

If you read the guest book at the 'Ton Hotel, you will see the names "Smilla Jaspersen" and "Hippolytta Hall" (don't remember if names are in full, or the first names are just initials or abbreviations).

Smilla Jaspersen is the main character in the novel "Smilla's Sense of Snow" by Peter Høgh, Hippolytta Hall is a character in the "Sandman" comics written by Neil Gaiman.

Anyone recognize the other names in the register?

There are actually tons of recognisable names on the little data things you can pick up... one that comes to mind is 'Lt. Maxwell Hammer' ... he of the murderous killing spree in the Beatles' song 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer'...

Gully Foyle is the hero of Alfred Bester's "The Stars My Destination", originally published as "Tiger! Tiger!" (which also turns up in Deus Ex somewheres). Marooned in outer space after an attack on his ship, Nomad, Gulliver Foyle lives to obsessively pursue the crew of a rescue vessel that had intended to leave him to die. Contains elements of corporate conspiracy so probably acted as an inspiration to the designers. Read it: tis awesome!

GABRIEL SYME! Didn't anyone notice him? Hes mentioned in well over half the book quotes found in the game (I reccommend the quoted "Man Who was Thursday" by G.K. Chesterson)....
