Now and Then Easter Egg - Famous Voice?

The voice of the father when we first see the young Roberta in her bedroom sounds very much like Tom Hanks (who is the husband of Rita Wilson, the older version of the Chrissy character), though it's not listed in the credits.

Sorry to burst your bubble so quickly after you put your egg on the site, but the guy you're looking for is someone named Carl Espy. I checked out the Internet Movie Database. Just thought I'd add my two cents.

Carl Espy played the older Roberta's husband, not her dad's voice.

Eeggtually, the original egg is a golden one. Tom Hanks accompanied real life wife Rita Wilson on the set of "Now and Then" the last day of shooting. They just returned to Savannah from LA after he won the Golden Globe for "Forrest Gump" which used the same local sound stage. Rita kindly introduced me as her "husband" and Tom promptly growled back. He's a delightful guy and probably jumped at the chance to add his voice to the movie (they were filming interior scenes of the girls' rooms that day). Sure sounds like Sheriff Woody to me! Actually the older Roberta didn't have a husband, she had a boyfriend but he was never shown.
