Headup (Deftones) - Premature Soulfly

Go to track #9, "headup", and listen for the chorus, each time in the background, as secondary vocals, Max Cavalerra (former guitarist/vocalist for sepultura) yells, "soul fly", which happens to be the name of his new band, which didn't put an album out until around the same time around the fur came out.

Special Requirements:

You just need the deftones cd, "around the fur," and something to play it on.

Dark Smurf writes:: No, he does say Soulfly. Chino Moreno and Max Cavelera are very good friends and they wrote Headup in memorial to Dana Cavelera, Max's son. The story of Soulfly is this: Max's old band (I think it was Sepultra) had just broken up and Deftones had a show that Max was in or something and they performed Headup. Right after the show, Max announced to the audience that his new band would be named Soulfly, which Chino new nothing of so it was a surprise to him.
