When game and program makers put easter eggs into computer games and programs, it is on purpose and meant to be found -- and they are still easter eggs.
When there are wierd key combinations to unlock the egg, the key combinations are generally intentionally given to computer magazines and computer shows in return for the magazine or show mentioning the product.
They are still called easter eggs even when intended to be found, even when the maker purposefully leaks how to unlock them.
However if the key combination is in the manual, it isn't an easter egg.
In the case of this particular show, when it was aired here they told us just prior to the commercial break in advance of the photos, to set our VCRs going and to play them back frame-by-frame later.
So I would agree that this probably isn't a true easter egg, but because the shows makers gave us instructions on how to see it in the show in advance of the hidden picture.
