School Is Hell Easter Egg - My 5th Grade Diary
If you pick up "School Is Hell", flip to the "My 5th Grade Diary". It's a little thing Groening made in 5th grade and reprinted. It was inspired by an old book called "A Real Diary of a Real Boy". Groening changed the names of the people he put in his journal. His strict teacher was renamed "Mr. Shute". Henry A. Shute is the author of "A Real Diary".
