Either I am doing this wrong or this is just a bogus egg. Nothing at all happens.

I just found out how to do it... you can't do it when you've already had the program running, and you're signed on already. Exit from the program completely, and then reopen it, and when the sign on screen appears, then do what it said... click and hold on the blue logo, and drag to the right. It works if you're using version 4.7 beta.

NOPE! THIS EGG WORKS! I'm looking at the picture right now. Here's some tips. The version # is 4.7.2398 also it has to be the FIRST time you sign on. It takes a while to get the hang of it but now I can do it just about every time I try. This guy is telling the truth.

Actually, this does work. But what they forgot to mention is that you have to hold down shift+ctrl and then drag it. it is not the screen when you are logging into it it is the logged off screen.

Read guys. AIM 4.7 beta. Meaning if you don't have the 4.7 beta, YOU CAN'T DO THE EGG! And, you need to start at the left edge of the blue, hold down the mouse, and drag right QUICKLY.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO HOLD ANY KEYS! Just drag the picture to the right WHEN YOU FIRST OPEN THE PROGRAM. THAT'S IT! I found this the first time I ran the beta. IT IS NOT HARD. I do NOT understand WHY PEOPLE INSIST that all eggs involve holding down keys! Same thing with IE 5.5. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HOLD DOWN KEYS WHEN YOU CLOCK "ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS!"

this doesn't work, but another way to see the picture is open up aim.exe or the aimres.dll in a resource editor, you can browse through all the resources, you can find the picture among them, but the egg doesn't work... this is the sign on window right? just anywhere there?

You have to do this when you FIRST open the program. At first I thought this was a bogus, but when I exited and opened AIM again, it did work.

Just a quick note to any newcomers. Versions 4.8 and above do NOT include this egg, so don't frustrate yourself by trying =P

I couldn't get this egg to work, but it doesn't bother me, because I looked at the screen shot that tekinachi (I believe) posted. He posted a webpage that took me to a screen shot of it. Whether its real or not doesn't concern me, because AOL is stupid. http://rapaholic.tripod.com/aimegg.jpg Here is the URL for those of you who would rather complain bitterly that it doesn't work then just go to the website with a picture of it.
