IT Easter Egg - Director or Bar Tender?
In IT, when everyone goes into the bar to calm down after the shaken excitement, the bar tender is actually Stephen King himself!

Yes, where is this in the movie? They were in the Chinese restaurant, but I don't remember seeing a bartender. Also, King is in many of his movies (but not all). He is also in the Stand (he's driving the truck with Nadine up to see Mother Abigail & he's one of the sentries when Stu & Tom arrive back in the Free Zone). He appears in the Storm of the Century, however briefly--(please forgive me, I haven't watched it in awhile & the details may be slightly wrong) after Linoge kills Martha Clarendon & the tv is broken in her house. While Tim Daly's character is in the house, the tv comes on again & in the shattered screen, there's Stephen (I think as a weatherman).

I don't think you saw Stephen King. I just checked IMDB and it doesn't list King having had an acting role in "IT". He was in Pet Sematary in 89 and Golden Years in 91 but nothing in between then (when "IT" was on tv).

I don't really consider this a true egg. Stephen King appears in many of the movies that spawn from his writings. Another example is as a priest in (I think) Pet Cemetery...I could be wrong about the movie.

I just watched Red Rose, and he played the pizza guy. It was frickin hilarious. I'm watching IT right now also, so I'll check and see if he's in it.

This isn't much of a egg really either, but Stephen (in my opinion) makes one of his best and funniest cameo's in "Creepshow." "Creepshow" released in the early 80's was a collection of short films written by different writers and each short film had appearances from famous actors. Similiar to "Bodybags" too.. Stephen King wrote one of the stories and acted as a ignorant redneck.. If you haven't seen it, I recommend checking it out. Really cool movie!
This movie also has appearances from Sam Raimi (Writer and Director of the "Evil Dead" series) and a appearance from Wes Craven (we all know him!)

Stephen King always has a cameo on all of his films. Sleep-walkers- he plays the sheriff. In The Stand- he plays something too. If you watch any of his movies you will see him make an appearance.
