Chicago Hope - Another ER Reference
On one episode, several members of the staff are
in a meeting trying to come up with a "commercial"
for the hospital as part of a public relations
campaign. They start the commercial, and it's the
music for ER with the same opening credit shots
with CH characters, right down to A. Arkin doing
the Peter Benton tai chi move.

Actually I believe it was Hector Elizondo who mimicked the Peter Benton Tai chi Move.

Actually that's not a Tai Chi move. In an early episode, Benton has to do an emergency procedure he's not prepared/qualified for, and must hold his hand inside the patient until a senior surgeon arrives. The surgeon arrives, makes a few cracks about the quality of Peter's incision, and as Peter walks out, the surgeon says "Nice job" or some such. Peter walks out of the OR and does a "Yes!" motion. It is this gesture which is in the credits.
