I'd just like to point out that this only works in MultiPlayer, and doesn't work in Single Player. It's a shame that it's just a static screen of the old HUD though, would've been cool to be able to use it while playing. :)

It only works in multiplayer, and it blocks out the gun and all your stats, its not a playable modification.

Need to point out that this only works in the multiplayer version. It will not work in the single player game.

The Easter Egg is only available in multi-player mode. It doesn't work in single player mode. However, it is a pretty interesting Easter Egg.

Another piece of Wolfenstein-3D nostalgia: in one of the early missions, you have to link up with Kessler. You do, and he brings you to his secret house, underneath a beer hall. You have walk out under it, in the wine cellar. While in there, you can hear the drunk Germans singing some song to the tune of the original Wolf-3D theme (the one from the main screen).

Actually, Trotsky, that song at the start of the old Wolfenstine, that the drunk people sing in Return to Castle Wolfenstine, is called "Horst Wessel Lied", and it was the official song of the Nazis. It has words, and the soldiers would march and sing it as they went. It's pretty much a national anthem style song. How the hell do I know all that? BTW, anyone looking should be able to find it on the net, with words and in all its grammar phone-like entirety, because my dad was looking and he stumbled across it.

FYI- The music from Wolf3D's intro and the same song that the drunk Germans are singing in RTCW was the official Nazi national anthem.

fyi: not an egg really because it didn't get shipped, but in single player we actually did build a working "classic" HUD and interface and Greg Goodrich re-built a /lot/ the original wolf 3-d maps with the new engine using the original textures. The original levels were so small, they all fit into one level file in RTCW. Since they were originally 2D maps (no 'upstairs' and 'downstairs' for example) he just 'stacked' the maps on top of each other in the single wolf .bsp file. It was pulled from shipping because of a)disc space constraints and b)Drew didn't like the idea and was mad at Greg for "wasting his time" on it. :)
