GameCube Easter Egg - Alternate Intro to Games

Before you turn the system on, hold the Z button. Continue to hold it until the GameCube symbol begins to show. Instead of the usual sounds, it will have chimes, a baby's rattle, and a giggle. It laughs in the face of all those who called it a "kiddie system" before it was released.

Mine just makes a sqeaky noise that kinda sounds like a puppy barking, and the giggle. I don't hear any chimes or rattling.

Also, before the giggle and after the puppy barking, when the on-screen cube hits the middle of the square it just made, it goes "BOINK!". It's a pretty cute egg.

Based on nothing but my ears and memory, I believe the sounds you hear when holding the z button with just one controller are from the N64 game "Banjo-Kazooie". One of them sounds like Kazzoi when you do the Talon Trot move which is when Kazzoie helps Banjo walk up steem areas. The rest sounds like music from the game.
