Austin Powers in Goldmember - Maple Leafs and Toronto Are the Best!
While watching the scene where dr evil and mini me are being sentenced to 400 years in jail, you'll shortly after see a reply of the scene by CNN
While watching the replay, if you look at the headlines going by, it says, "Toronto is the Best City in the World", and, "Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup"
This is put in by M Myers because he is from toronto, and loves playing hockey and the maple leafs.
As an end note I'd like to say, notice how all great comedians are canadian?
Maybe its in our bacon! lol

All great comedians are either Canadian or Jewish. Don't forget alot of the black people. and Dane Cook is white........you know what, every race has funny comedians!!! It's just each race acts a certain way pertaining to where they are from, and people respond to that.

Aren't most of those funny Canadians from Ontario, cause I lived in Alberta for two years and people there weren't funny at all.

Oh yeah eh. I noticed that too. :) ALSO!! In the "musical" Sequence with mini me and Dr. Evil in jail... near the end you can see mini me is wearing a Leafs Jearsy. :):) It's kinda covered up by a big clock he's wearing as a necklace... but it's there! One more thing eh! I noticed how often they say eh in the movie. :)If you pay attention you'll hear it too eh! (Most Comedians are Canadian.... I bet it is the bacon..... mmmmm.......bacon....)

I happen to think that Steve Martin is pretty funny, and he isn't even Canadian. Same could be said for Jerry Seinfeld for that matter, and isn't he from New York? Ben Stiller has been known to make quite a few people laugh - he even had his own show before he was on SNL, another New Yorker I believe. Then there's Dave Letterman, from Indiana. Jack Black, Phil Hartman and Will Ferrell are other American comics that come to mind (to name just a few). Not to take anything at all away from our neighbors to the north (As I am a huge fan of all of the Kids in the Hall guys!) but we have quite a few funny men south of the border to be proud of as well.

Well, I agree about the egg. It's pretty cool. But, ALL great comedians are Canadian? I mean, Mike Myers is incredibly funny, as are The Arrogant Worms and The Frantics, but who else? I mean, are there a lot of Canadian Comedians? I am very interested. Let me know, eh?

I went on this page specifically to see if the Egg was mentioned. (Actually, I was going to mention it). I think it's a great Egg, although I'm not sure whether I agree with the comedians thing. That, and I wish there were more famous people from the West doing what Myers did. Then again, no one is going to embarass themselves by cheering for the Vancouver Canucks.

George Carlin isn't Canadian. The only comedians I know from Canada are Mike Myers, Jim Carrey, and Colin Mochrie (from Whose Line Is It Anyway). And...well Jim Carrey is not even funny. The other two are great. And of course George Carlin is the master.
