In one of the holloween episodes, Homer goes and buys a haunted Krusty doll for Bart. In the shop, on the counter, is a 4 fingered monkey paw. The same one from a previous holloween episode!

DGStein writes:: The whole "monkey paw" thing is based on an actual story, "The Monkey's Paw". It's sort of like the "Gift of the Magi" but more dark. This paw grants wishes but with a satanic little twist. (i.e. : Someone wishes for $10,000, but they get it as an insurance settlement when a family member dies, etc.) This explains the fear of the monkey's paw.; 18 of 21 people found this comment helpful.
