I have Windows 95. I type in Radio Free Zerg, it says "cheat enabled" but it doesn't do anything but turn off the normal music. Is there a certain mission you need to go to?

Bob, the cheat only works in Brood Wars, the expansion set.

Semi-detailed instructions: 1. Put in the Brood War CD. 2. Run Starcraft. 3. Select Single Player\Brood War. 4. Select a Zerg mission. 5. Type in Radio Free Zerg. 6. BOOGIE OOGIE OOGIE! The song's actual name is Radio Free Zerg (as the cheat suggests). Bob, I don't know if that will help you, I'm just guessing (and I think it only works with Brood War, but I'm not sure).

Let me get these facts straight for you people: 1)Its www.battle.net for those maps and the mp3 2)It only works on Brood War when playing a ZERG mission 3)this is really not a real egg because the site gives it away, and all the cheatcode sites say this stuff.

Just go to http://ftp.blizzard.com./pub/starcraft/SOUNDS/ and click on the RadioFreeZerg.zip link it'll take a while to download so you might as well just play/buy the game.

Bah. It's an easter egg. It's hidden, it's amusing, and you can bet the programmers had fun putting it in. As far as I'm concerned, it's an easter egg.

Here's a neat little fact: the song was generated by sonic foundry's Acid program. If you've used the program, you'll recognize all of the samples.

The song starts with the speech that the Overmind gives in the briefing for the first Zerg mission of the original game, but where did the rest of it come from?

In the back of the starcraft manual there are various cheat codes you can type in. The one you spoke of is listed too. This manual COMES WITH THE CDROM! .....

Uh.. Beckey the manual you are talking about is the strategy guide, NOT written by the blizzard dudes, and only included in the battle chest.
