Smithee, Alan - Alan Who?
In many movies and music videos, the director is listed as Alan Smithee. Here's the egg: There is no Alan Smithee. Alan Smithee is a pseudonym used by directors who do not want to be associated with a film. I have only seen this on music videos, but it is widely used. Look around for it.

This also gave rise to one of the funniest MST3K barbs ever. During the opening credits of "Jack Frost" (a Russo-Finnish co-production), Mike said, 'These names are all Russian for "Alan Smithee"'.

This film credit was used in earlier-era films. A funny mention of this was in an episode of the simpsons when Mr. Burns made a movie credited to Alan Smithee.

This is also referenced in an episode of The Simpsons. Though I cannot remember which one, I distinctly remember some film (I think one about Mr. Burns' life or childhood) was by "Alan Smithee". I attributed it to a psuedoname for Wayland Smithers, but this is also a probability.

Amazing that an "egg" like this could end up in the Archive while so many legitimate ones never even get considered. The Alan Smithee story is so well-known by now, even by people outside the film community, that there's nothing "hidden" about it. You may as well post something about Hitchcock's MacGuffin.
