Aside from acting, W.C. Fields wrote most of the comedies he starred in. One was "Charle Bogle" which has no significance, but in "The Bank Dick" 'Written by' is: "Mahatma Kane Jeeves", a nod to stuffy Englishmen who would say to their butlers, "My hat, my cane, Jeeves!
