Archos Jukebox Recorder 20 Easter Egg - Serial Copy Management System

This is the way that you can turn off the Serial Copy Management System on your Archos Jukebox (recorder). SCMS is a copy protection scheme that prevents copy-protected data being recorded onto the Archos via the digital in port.

1)Boot the Archos to the original firmware (1.28 or 1.27d), to the main screen (directory browser).
2)Go into Menu > Record MP3.
3)Go to Change Album .
4)Key in the following (without quotes): "HFSCMSOFF".
5)Hit Enter.
6)You should get a message saying...

SCMS disabled
old state: enabled

To reenable SCMS, you must put in the same place: "HFSCMSON".

Wonder what would happen if the RIAA found out about it?
