Star Trek: The Next Generation Easter Egg - "I'm Not a Doctor, but I Keep Playing One on TV!"

In the above-mentioned episode, Dr. Timicin (David Ogden Stiers, who played "Winchester" on M*A*S*H) is forced to cut his research short to return to his homeworld to commit ritual suicide. While doing his research, however, we can clearly see that the computer workstation he is using in Engineering (visible in the upper right hand corner) is terminal #4077!

The whole point of this egg was to point out the connection between David Ogden Stiers and the M*A*S*H 4077th.

Another Easter Egg on this site talks about the significance of the number 47 on Star Trek. This links to a site (audiograffiti.com) which has a page siting many instances of the number 47. While 4077 is kind of like 47, 4077 itself appears many times in many different episodes of Star Trek. You'll find many instances of 4077 in the "unverified" section of that page.
