Go to any of the teleportation trees around the island and have a look in the branches. I swear it is the kids from Earth Bound.

Earthbound is a SNES game. You may recognize the boy in the baseball cap, Ness, from Smash Brothers on N64 or Gamecube. Note: Earthbound was known as Mother 2 in Japan, and there was a game known commonly in the US as Earthbound Zero.

I don't think that Sega would put in characters from a nintendo game. Sega and Nintendo were rivals whenn this game was made. By the way this game rocks!!!! it's like the best game for genesis!!
