Matrix, The Easter Egg - The Window Washers

In the beginning of the Matrix, Neo is in troble with his boss becuases he was late to work. While his boss is talking there are two people washing the windows. They never show clearly the face of the window washers. The window washers were Andy Wachowski and Larry Wachowski. These two brothers wrote and directed The Matrix.

There is an amusing connection between the firm (large software corporation) and the deliberate diversion to the window cleaners, (M*cros*ft's own windows), you could also add that the cleaners are standing on a platform. One last thing is they are providing clarity for something that 'isn't real'.

Monstrosity.... her name is Carrie-Anne Moss... But thats not what I wanted to say... Everyone in here holds a good point. Some things I would never had thought of... and I'm the ultimate Matrix freak from where I'm from :) But I always like to think of the window washers as just odd humor... kinda like the ding of the elevator after the lobby scene. :)

The window washer scene is also our first exposure to a deja-vu, or glitch in the matrix when they change something. Watch it again and look for what Neo is really reacting to.

Ok, i'm sure that the deja vu theory is valid and most likely correct, but i heard that the reason why Neo looks at the window washers like that is because the soapy water on the window looks like matrix code. Now, this is probably a heap of crap, but i thought i'd put it out there...

technically in the script they were credited as Larry and Andy, but it was actually two extras since they had to direct. Same difference though
