Shrek 2 Easter Egg - Secret Message in Puss and Boots eyes

After Puss In Boots Hacks up a hairball, he begs Shrek to let him come with him. He then pulls the famous sad Puss face, the one that makes everyone's heart melt, Shrek decides to let him go... but Wait! That sad kitty face isn't so innocent. If you pause and look really close into his eyes you can read the words RE/MAX... you know the reality company. Shrek really should be reflecting in his eyes but noooo. they advertised in Puss in Boots eyes!!!! How wrong is that?!
There is also a picture on the Shrek web page that has a picture of that particular moment here

I wouldn't have been able to see it without _really_ close zooming via Photoshop.

When I zoomed it to mega proportions it looks like it says REMIX to me which makes me think that the animators meant to remix the colour used and either forgot to do it or left the text there by mistake.

Is that for one scene or for the whole time he's looking?

Looks to me like they just used the re/max balloon as an hdri for some reason In 3d, HDRIs or High Dynamic Range Images are used to simulate the environment and its reflections and lights on an object. Then again, it's probably just a fun reflection map

Actually, I'm pretty sure it says "RF MIX". I did what PiNkCaRcHiCk did and brightened it. I don't see the bottom leg of an "E", I see an "F". The second to last character is an "I" for sure, though. I'm not sure what the reference to "RF MIX" would be, though. Wally

It's definitely REMAX. Look in his left eye (on the right) and you see that the descender of the A is on the same angle as the X, can't be an I it is an A. I'm an old typesetter and have had to resurrect the content of damaged type before.

Wow. I've seen it. The first time I tried I couldn't see it but then I used Appleworks to lighten it 4 times and enlarged it by 300% (Definitely Remax not Remix.)

It's Remax without a doubt. Go to http://www.remax.com/ and have a look at their logo. It's easy to see why it's hard for people to make out the bottom of the 'E' and the side of the 'A', as they're both partially obscured. Also, I don't know how long these links will stay good for, but check this page out (i hope this isn't breaking a rule about advertising another site... it's genuinely related): http://wbli.com/airstaff/allevine.html Apparently some of Al Levine's movies are Shrek and Shrek 2. And check on the right sidebar at who his sponsors are... Re-Max.
