Murderous Maths Easter Egg - The Greatest Author?

In the book, during the part where the Gangsters have just been squirted by the fountain (about page 120 I think), turn the book upside down and read the ruined paper. Among the many articles are 'Poskitt (the author) voted God' and 'Arch Stanton Dead' (I admit I do not know who Arch Stanton is, but he appears in several books).

Also, a couple of pages before, the newspaper headline says 'Tufty Hoobsprout for Mayor', which is the nickname the illustrator gives his son.
