In the beginning when the chandelier is up for bid, it is bidding number 666, this a reference to the number of the beast.

This is not exactly an easter egg. Its the same in the play as well. Most of the movie script and dialouge is taken directly from the play and can even be heard on the original broadway cast recording of the soundtrack.
