Halo 2 Easter Egg - Scarab Gun

How to get the Scarab gun:
you can also look in the soocer ball egg to see how to get the banshee.

Goto the level metropolis. First off,kill all the marines you see, they make your mission impossible.
DONT HIJACK THE BANSHEE UNTIL I SAY SO
1. Goto the tunnel entrance, make sure to kill everybody but the banshees. Now grab a plasma rifle from a dead elite (should be next to any dead ghost. Now you need a banshee.
2. Move into the tunnel slowly, and shoot at the banshees with your plasma rifle. Once you get their attention, run backwards into the tunnel. Do this so you can see you banshee and now when to lure it back in. You Banshee will ocasionally turn away. When this happens walk up the tunnel a little bit, and shoot to get its attention. Continue luring it in.
When you get to where the warthog pops out, the banshee will begin to chase the warthog. Throw genades to kill you fellow marines.

3. Now continue to lure the banshee until you get to the sewer entrance. (make sure to kill everyone but the banshee). When you are at the sewer entrance, shoot the banshees wings off so it will fit in the sewer, and lure it into the sewer. Luring it in is the hardest part, it takes lots a patience for the stupid AI to find you.

*** There is a main room in the sewers entrance, and a small tunnel on you left that leads to the next area.

MAIN TUNNEL

Position your self infront of the tunnel that leads to the next area (EXIT). The banshee will begin to push you. Count to about 1 and hijack it. You will hijack it while the checkpoint loads. Now that you have the Banshee, continue flying it out.

4. Fly the banshee up as high as you can go. You'll see two bridges that connect some buildings.
NOTE: These are the highest bridge things on the map.
Fly to the closest bridge, and land in the middle of it. You will see a plasma rifle floating above a traffic cone. This is the most powerful weapon in Halo 2. It distroys everything in one hit.

This gun can be found on any difficulty level. It certainly lives up to its name, able to kill anything (except a scarab, ironically) in just one shot! Providing, you can hit it of course....

uh... in the screenshots there are two players up there... if you only used 1 banshee then how did you get the second player up there?... if you managed to get two banshees in there for each player then I salute you =P

Kalem. All you have to do to get player two up there is get him to commit suicide! He will be spawned near player one.

I have been told that you can also get it on the last level, what you have to do (by what i've been told) is go on the last level on LEGENDARY and go through the level without killing ANYTHING until when you get to the ledge where the brutes are where you get the cut scene when Johnson takes the scarab and then you can kill those brutes there, and after the cut scene get a banshee and fly up to the back of the scarab and usually where the purple barrier is supposed to be there won't be and go inside and there it should be. I haven't personally tried this but i got told it works so well yeah, try it and if it doesn't work then i miss heard.

umm... the only way i've found possible to get into that scarab is if you jump on when the brutes are fighting and ive never seen it in there(also theres 3 scarab guns 2 on metropolis 1 on outskirts and after the brutes are dead you wind up back on the base).outskirts 1 is underwater go through the level past hotel zanzibar and on to the second part of the beach and you go to the end were you see the building(were you can go under it) go through there and you'll wind up in the water(note:use a ghost) next you need to find the scarab gun in the water(its near the walls when you get to the walls jump to see)

There is a second gun in the scareb in a level played as the arbiter. Get a banshee and get on the scarab.Move inside and there shoud be a scareb gun in there
