Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Easter Egg - A Nightmare Before Charlie

Go to the part were we first meet Willy's dad (Halloween).

Watch as he throws the candy into the fire. The wrappers begin to melt away and some are as the main character Jack, in A Nightmare Before Christmas.

Yeah, I noticed that on my first watch. After I me and my friends were talking about our favourite bits and then the topic came up about the hidden jack, and I was just sat there grinning as they all didn't know where he was. And I didn't want to look like a movie geek by admitting it.

Look closer in the candy dish -- there's a ghost that looks a little like Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas, a pumpkin that could have come from Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and -- what's this -- a skull and crossbones on a piece of candy? Or should we call it a jolly roger in honor of Cap't Jack Sparrow? There's also a wolfman -- can't figure that one, though. Might just be coincidence, but then again . . .

You idiots! Do you have any idea who Jack Skellington even is, or is he just a skeleton to you? That's just a plain skull! http://192.197.110.181/large/Masks.jpg That is who Jack Skellington is! Why is it that in EVERY SINGLE TIM BURTON FILM, somebody sees a skull and thinks it's Jack Skellington? Don't be stupid!

Casey, It's necessarily SUPPOSED to BE Jack Skellington, just a reference.

Alright, then... since it's only a reference, we can consider the boat to be a reference to Pirates, too, right? Although it looks nothing like a pirate ship, it's only a reference!

That looks more like the skull used in the logo for Tim Burton's movie "Beetlejuice".

hey, r_willy. If you've seen Nightmare Before Christmas, the Wolfman's there! He sings in "This is Halloween" in the alley with the garbage cans.

OK, I'm a teacher and some of my students were talking about Jack Skellington hidden in all of Tim's movies...I thought NO WAY, but watched Betelgeuse and son of a gun...He's there...They said you have to watch but he's in all of them...Where and is this really true?

It isn't a reference at all. It's just a generic skull, looks absolutely nothing like Jack Skellington.
