Interpreter, The Easter Egg - A Nod to Good Old Alfred H.

Widely hailed in the media as the first movie filmed in the UN building in New York, it is actually at least the second movie that has been shot there. A part of the Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest was also filmed in the UN building. Sydney Pollack evidently wanted to show his respect and appreciation for the late master by shooting exactly the same broad-perspective shot at the visitor's lobby and putting it in the very begginning of the movie, just after the executive producers names fade out.
