Men In Black Easter Egg - Star Wars Reference

In the scene where K and J are chasing the bug in the exterminator van, K mentions "Corellian death-rays." Star Wars fans will remember that Han Solo is a Corellian, and that the Millenium Falcon was identified as a Modified Corellian Transport. Just a good little geek test. :)

Correlian is a well know planet in Star Wars. There is also the Correlian Corvetts (a.k.a. Blockade Runners) I play Star Wars CCG, I love Star Wars, I know this stuff.

well, how many aliens can their be in a universe? but han solo looks nothing like the "little dude in the big dude's head" as Mr Smith elegantly pointed out.

i suppose it could also be a reference to the Foundation universe, since almost all the concepts and terminology of Star Wars was ripped off from Asimov (including 'Corellian', 'hyperspace', 'blasters', and the concept of a galactic empire).

Actually, isn't spelled Kirillian in MIB? Check the script!

Actually, the planet is called Corellia. The Corellian System is mostly inhabited by humans. Thus, Han Solo is Corellian and not an "alien."

Totally off topic, but in the SW universe, isn't one of the 3 big manufacturers "Corellian Spaceworks"?

However you spell Correlian, the reference is to the Death Star. Yes the Death Star, itself, is not Correlian, but that is exactly what they meant.

I was hoping someone else noticed that that's from SW! I love Star Wars and started laughing in the theater when they said that. For more info on Han's early life on Correllia, check out the Paradise Snare. It's a good book. Han's originally from there and they're famous for making ships and producing worthy fighters.

"the little dude in the big dude's head" is not the 'corellian' he is a arquillian... Kay (speeling in the script for Tommy's character) says Correllian as a joke for SW ripping off the termonology itself....
