Gremlins Easter Egg - Cinematic Nod

In the town, near the start, look for the cinema. The name of the film on show is "A Boy's Life : Watch the Skies" - this is a reference to ET, which was either in filming at the time, or recently released; anyway, I read that that was the working title for ET...

It's a double nod in fact; "Watch the Skies" was an early working title for Close Encounters.

I read this about Back to the Future. This means either both films do it, or someone somewhere is wrong... bbX

Both Gremlins and Back to the Future used the same set for the town center, so both movies have the same theater marquee with the egg.
