Windows XP Easter Egg - "Hello, World!"

1. Open your resource editing program (I used XN Resource Editor)

2. Open "C:\WINNT\explorer.exe" or "C:\Windows\explorer.exe" depending on what service packs you have installed.

3. On the left panel, open up Dialogs

4. Next, open number 7.

5. Finally, click English (United States), and look at the dialog on the right.

*Note: Your results may vary. This was tested using Windows XP without any service packs installed, and using XN Resource Editor, available from http://www.wilsonc.demon.co.uk/d10resourceeditor.htm
As always, your mileage may vary.

This also works for Vista (RC 2 at least) without any changes

Doesn't work on XP SP2. Dialog #7 comes out as systray icon properties.

"Hello World!" is a kick that most developers use for text display.

This is not an egg. The resource editor (XN Resource Editor) inserts the "Hello world" column to listviews when it displays the dialogs.
