Age of Empires III - Lovecraft Miskatonic Indian
Whenever you rescue an Indian scout, the game randomly assigns a tribe name to the unit; for example, "Nootka Scout". Occassionally, the scout you rescue will be a Miskatonic Scout. This is in reference to a fictional tribe of American Indians created by writer H.P. Lovecraft, famed for his "Cthulhu Mythos" stories. Supposedly, the Miskatonics were a particularly bloodthirsty and heathenistic tribe, whose bizarre rituals forever tainted the river and surrounding land they occupied. The in-game Miskatonic Scout, however, functions exactly the same as its more mundane brethren.
