Sam Raimi is a co-writer of this film, besides being a noted director of other popular movies like the Spider Man and Evil Dead series.

He makes a hidden appearance in silhouette only. He is listed in the credits as "Hudsucker Brainstormer", which is one of the two guys trying to come up with ideas for what to name the Hula Hoop. Ideas like "the Hip-ster", "the Daddy-O", "Hoopsucker", and "Hudswinger".
