First play The silent Cartographer on any dificulty, when you shut down the security thing, go outside and find the crashed pelican on a rock (it's just outside the entrance, down the ledge) jump down, it won't kill, you, ignore the grunts and jakals and jump on the pelican's nose, look in the cockpit, and you'll notice the seat is gone, and instead a smiley face will be there made out of odd symbols and equipment
