In SoN they changed it to Brisby, and that sounds a damn lot beter than Frisby.

Well, lets get it completly straight. In the book, it was originally Mrs. Frisby. When they were making the screenplay for the movie, however, they thought that Mrs. Brisby would sound alot better, so they changed it to that.

Actually, I believe the name was changed to prevent a connection with Wham-O (the owner of the Frisbee trademark).

I think they should have kept the name as Mrs Frisby because that is what she is called in the book!

Yes, yes yes... It's not the name that counts, it's the little mousie inside... Originally, the novel was titled "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH." The animated film, however, was called "The Secret of NIMH" and starred a Mrs. Brisby. So you're all right in some aspect..
