Snowblind (Styx) Easter Egg - Satan's Helpers?

1) Get a copy of Snowblind (Paradise Theater album) by Styx
2) Record the section of the song where it says "I try so hard to make it so"
3) Reverse this line and play it.

This easily done on most computers with a CD-Rom and sound card. Use something like Windows Sound Recorder to record the section mentioned. Sound recorder can then be used to reverse the audio and play it.

In case you're too lazy, the reversed saying is "Oh Satan, move through our voices."

When phrases are played backwards you can get random phrases sometimes making sense

Actually, it's more like "Ooooh, Satan, move your horses..." or to be totally phonetically correct, "Oooh, snich-en, mooosna hosaj..."

If ya think that's bad try listening to aku-aku forwards !! Why does anyone have the time to listen to Styx the 'right'way, much less backwards ? !?! ahaha ! I used to think it was Fee Waybill, then I suspected Geddy Lee,then I was sure it was Hume Cronyn,BUT NOW I'M POSITIVE......Dennis DeYoung is the devil man !!!!! Everybody knows 'mister roboto' backwards says 'otobor retsim', what more proof do you need ? REPENT haha!

The actual phrase is "oh Satan, move into our voices". I have heard an interview with Dennis De Young talking about it. He claims he, nor Styx, had anything to do with it. I also have a copy of the album. To me, I can hear it, but, the word "voices" is kind of weird sounding.

I heard this when I was a kid, it scared the crap out of me, now that I hear it today, it still sounds real, but not that scary.

I do not think that that this message was inserted into the song intentionally, because if you think about it "I tried so hard to make it so" reversed spells "o stiekam oot drah os deirti" which sounds like it could be skewed to sound like "Oh Satan move through our... whatever!" Just thought I'd state my opinion!

I've heard this one myself, and it sounds (to my ears, at least) like, "Oh, Satan, move IN our voices." It's pretty slurred, as is usually the case with phonetic reversal, and I believe the band members when they say the "Oh, Satan..." line was a bizarre coincidence. When the phrase "make it so" is reversed, it sounds like a slurred "Oh, Satan." By the way, the band recorded a TRUE backward message on their "Kilroy Was Here" album. Nothing too exciting, but worth checking out. It's at the beginning of the song, "Heavy Metal Poisoning."

I heard this one as a kid, too. I heard "satan moves in our voices." My older brother played it for me but he didn't tell me what he thought it said first.

Actually, about the Paul McCarteny dude, it is said that when a band is recording or making a song, Satan posseses them to think of a certain word that makes the backwards message say something satanic. Just like all of that Paul is Dead stuff. On the Sgt. Pepper and The Lonely Hearts Band Club vinyl record cover there is a lot about the Paul is Dead stuff.
