Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts Easter Egg - Mario Reference

At the very beginning of the game, when Banjo and Kazooie first encounter LOG, he calls the two "second-rate gamers".
Kazooie says something about how they've been in many games before, and then LOG adds "but not as much as that Italian gentleman".
This is an obvious reference to Mario.
