Entrapment Easter Egg - Tribute to the Past?

Watch carefully in the opening few scenes of the movie, when the theif uses a control box to control the code for the alarm system, the code for the alarm is 1007...007? A tribute to Mr. Connery perhaps?

I noticed that too, and I think it refers to there being only one "true" 007. Since Sean Connery is in the movie and he is the best bond actor ever, it's obvious that the number has some signifigance.

FEZ,I think you are too yuong to know the real James Bond. Pierce Brosnan is the best JB we have seen in many, many years. BUT nothing can beat Sean Connery. -NOTHING. And the funny little man, Roger Moore, was just a mistake.

Ok Fez is right, Pierce is the best bond, he has all the right qualities for the part. However Connery is the second best and he was the best up until 3 films ago.

Take this to Movie Madness on the Discussion Boards. ----- Sean Connery defined Bond in first film "Dr. NO". --rooster

sean connery is not only best bond, he is THE bond. brosnan and moore, well... aren't. And Fez--- connery is better looking in entrapment when he's what, 65 maybe, than brosnan is as bond!

I guess if you're into bad puns and hollow acting, Pierce Brosnan _is_ the best Bond. Otherwise, the order goes: Dalton, Connery, Lazenby, the guy in my seventh grade class who could say 'Moneypenny' in a Scottish accent, Brosnan.

It's a well known fact that only a Celt(Pronounced Kelt) can play Bond, Sean Connery is the best Bond because when he killed somebody they were dead just like Brosnan they both have the look of a guy when you say to yourself "he could kill someone" unlike Moore he really was just a mistake as was George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton was a Celt so was Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnon. Are you starting to see a pattern? And also in the books James Bond is from Edinburgh and he was kicked out of Fettes College.

The 1 in 1007 refers to the fact that Connery was the first Bond, and not necessarily the best. I'm not even gonna go into that discussion any further.

How about this- Ian Fleming himself actually prefered Moore to Connery because he was closer to what he envisioned in the novels. He would of gotten the part starting with Dr. No if he wasn't tied up contractually with a TV series (sort of like Brosnan and Living Daylights). This is fairly well known knowledge. I agree, Connery was the first and 'best' Bond, but Moore was just as good in different ways. They played and were written differently. Live and Let Die and Spy Who Loved Me are as good as any Connery era Bond. Moore is the highest grossing Bond to this day (taking inflation into account) and appeared in more offical Bonds than any other. He's a icon. What's your problem? Best Bonds = Connery/Moore , then Lazenby, then trailing fairly far behind Dalton and Brosnan (Goldeneye was awesome- what's happened since then??)
